old town orange

Old Town Orange is a charming historical district full of vintage & antique stores and some amazing places to eat. bruxie, home of gourmet waffle sandwiches, is a place that you need to check out whilst being in old town orange. they serve both savory & sweet sandwiches and everything on their menu sounds fantastic! on account of my sister & i being famished & wanting to try pretty much everything on the menu, we ended up ordering a decent (note the emphasis on decent) amount of food. we shared the buttermilk fried chicken with chili honey & cole slaw, the proscuitto & gruyere, wild mushrooms with goat cheese, & the ogura (red beans with sweet cream). personally, i enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich the most because the sweetness of the honey offset the saltiness of the fried chicken and the waffle was the binding ingredient that tied them together in melodious harmony. can you tell how much i enjoyed my savory & sweet sandwich? haha. it was divine.

for anyone who's furnishing a home, Old Town Orange has a fair amount of antique stores where you can pick up an assortment of furniture, wall decor, dishware, & knick knacks at really decent prices. i had such a great time browsing & meandering through the stores.

browsing at elsewhere vintage. unfortunately i didn't purchase anything here, but they did have a good collection of quality vintage pieces.

i saw these adorable fondue pots at the orange circle antique mall. i wanted to take them all home with me !

don't you love this vintage powder blue wall phone??

the storefront of this antique furniture store was in one word, MAJESTIC. no seriously, it was pretty grand.
